Kastas, Turkey's Sealing Giant, 40 Years Old
Kastas, Turkey's leader and one of the leading manufacturers in Europe in the sealing technologies sector with its 100% domestic capital, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Founded in 1981 in Izmir's 1st Industrial Site, Kastas is today one of the five largest manufacturers in the world, while meeting nearly 80 per cent of Turkey's domestic market with its production with more than 650 employees in its 40 thousand square metre production facilities in Atatürk Plastic Specialised Organised Industrial Zone. Kastas, which is a direct supplier of the world's leading equipment manufacturers on a global scale, produces innovative sealing elements for dozens of sectors, especially construction equipment, mobile hydraulics, agriculture, iron and steel, mining, with its branches and authorised dealers throughout Turkey and a widespread distribution network in 80 countries abroad.
Commenting on the company's 40-year success story, Haydar Atılgan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kastas, emphasised that Kastas, which produces sealing elements that play a critical role in hydraulic and pneumatic applications in the fluid power industry, produces world-class products with its competent and experienced staff. Atılgan said that they continue their investments with the goal of continuous growth and value-added products with the awareness of social responsibility as well as economic and social development.
KASTAS EUROPE SALES AND DISTRIBUTION CENTRE HAS BEEN IN OPERATION FOR 12 YEARS
Founded in 2009 in Germany, Kastas Europe GmbH was restructured as a Sales and Distribution Centre in 2014, strengthening Kastas' position in the European market and reaching the capability to make deliveries to every point in Europe within 24 hours, Atılgan said: "Our wide range of products for hydraulic and pneumatic applications, our product and application experience developed specifically for different sectors; Our first R&D Centre in our sector focusing on material development and product development, our high level quality assurance systems audited by international institutions, we are proud to have the assurance of Made in Turkey accepted in more than 80 countries of the world. With our sales and distribution centre in Germany, we are able to provide on-site service to our customers with our pre-sales and after-sales services."
Haydar Atılgan noted that Kastas continues to produce sealing solutions for the needs of different sectors by constantly renewing itself with the advantage of its extensive know-how arising from its 40 years of application experience, advanced material knowledge, continuous studies in this field and its active role in international collaborations. Stating that they work with the vision of "becoming the world's first preferred manufacturer of sealing elements", Atılgan said that they carry out their production technologies, organisation, R&D investments and institutionalisation moves in line with this vision.
